Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer for an onsite role in Leander, TX. The engineer will design, build, and operate propulsion test rigs, develop test plans, and analyze results to drive rapid engineering improvements.

You will work with CAD, data-acquisition systems, and instrumentation, contributing to ground and flight test campaigns and collaborating across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with propulsion systems or test rigs is a plus.
• Experience with data-acquisition systems and sensors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate propulsion and ballistic test setups, fixtures, and mechanical test rigs.
• Create CAD models and mechanical designs for test hardware and fixture improvements.
• Develop propulsion characterization procedures and static test plans.
• Configure and operate data-acquisition systems, instrumentation, sensors, and wiring.
• Conduct rocket static-thrust-stand tests and propulsion test campaigns.
• Perform data reduction, technical analysis, and post-test reporting.
• Support hardware manufacturing, mechanical assembly, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain work instructions, safety procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support ground and flight testing.
• Diagnose performance issues and implement design or testing improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout testing lifecycle.
