Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Fluid Systems Operations Engineer for a contract opportunity in Taft, CA. The role focuses on integrating test execution with pressure testing and clean room operations, working with SSL leadership and test engineers to meet program milestones.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in propulsion testing, lab operations, and precision cleaning, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain detailed test documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in test laboratory operations.
• 7+ years of propulsion testing experience in propulsion, pressure and fluid, or vacuum systems.
• 4+ years of precision cleaning of hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate propulsion test execution requirements and resources to conduct pressure testing and clean room operations.
• Collaborate with Prop Test Leadership, Prop Test engineering, and customers to support testing activities.
• Develop and track performance metrics and action plans with leadership.
• Draft and maintain test execution plans, schedules, and test support requirements.
• Improve communications with a plan showing status of test and cleaning activities.
• Maintain test and cleaning documentation supporting execution and requirements.
• Coordinate daily with propulsion test management and engineers.
