Sceye, Inc. in Moriarty, NM seeks a Propulsion Technician to support development, testing, integration, and maintenance of propulsion systems for stratospheric platforms. This role requires hands-on fabrication and assembly, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fabrication, fitting installation, wire harness assembly and mechanical testing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with precision tools (torque wrenches, gauges, calipers).
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for composite parts and assemblies.
• Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot propulsion systems, including thrusters, propellers, actuators, gearing, composites and support structures.
• Perform structural testing, blade balancing, and functional checks of propulsion subsystems.
• Create wiring and harnesses required in propulsion sub-system builds based on drawings and schematics.
• Support propulsion system integration into HAPS frames and related ground support equipment.
• Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and test procedures.
• Document work with thorough notes, photographs, and records.
• Assist engineering teams in modifying designs based on test results and feedback.
