Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Propulsion Systems Project Engineer to lead and mentor a team evaluating propulsion systems for national security space launches. This role requires coordinating with Space Force, SpaceX, Blue Origin, and other partners to ensure mission success.

Responsibilities include overseeing engine and stage propulsion analyses, design reviews, and certifications, while driving programs within budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience in propulsion design, analysis, testing, or certification.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, development, evaluation, and certification of propulsion systems and engines.
• Manage ETG technical studies ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with program office, structures, GNC, avionics, and systems teams.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and documents for leadership.
• Mentor PO and ETG engineers and coordinate with Space Force and contractors.
