Job summary

Sogeclair in Wichita, KS is seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer to deliver support from proposal through certification and in-service. You will apply expertise in Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel and FTIS to develop missionized solutions and interface with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting product development life cycle.
• 5 years experience in aircraft propulsion systems.
• Familiar with propulsion design, qualification and certification tests.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours.
• Familiar with Part 25 certification requirements.
• Strong integration and stakeholder management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work on ITAR controlled projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propulsion systems engineering support from proposal to development, certification and in-service.
• Apply engineering knowledge to Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel and FTIS to develop missionized solutions.
• Develop concept studies, requirements capture, scope of work, and supplier engagement during proposals.
• Produce technical proposals and statements of work with presentations.
• During development and certification, integrate the system, update documentation, manage suppliers.
• Review supplier documentation and verification plans.
• Interface with stakeholders to support engineering activities.
• Participate in installations, modifications and operation.
• Develop relationships with BA and suppliers.
