Job summary

Busek Co., Inc. is seeking a Research Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and design of advanced thrusters and propellant technologies.

This role blends hands-on engineering with deep physics and aerospace knowledge to support R&D experiments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in propulsion principles, experimental design, and data analytics, with exposure to CAD tools and lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
• Hands-on experience with electric propulsion (EP) systems preferred; knowledge of thruster design essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate custom parts for propulsion systems.
• Conduct testing and validation of thruster components and new propellant technologies.
• Collaborate on R&D projects, including electron emitter development.
• Coordinate system integration across teams for propulsion platforms.
• Analyze data and troubleshoot issues in design and testing phases.
