Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Director of Production Operations based in Madison, Wisconsin. This leadership role drives the production strategy for propulsion development, building operational systems to deliver hardware at pace, quality, and cost.

You will lead manufacturing and assembly for propulsion product lines and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing/production/operations leadership in complex tech industries.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Proven track record of leading large teams and complex production projects.
• Strong background in propulsion manufacturing, assembly & integration, and operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing and assembly operations for propulsion product lines at the Madison, WI facility.
• Scale propulsion manufacturing from development programs into high-rate production.
• Standardize production processes and implement MES for traceability and real-time visibility.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure production readiness and on-time delivery.
• Manage production budgets and drive cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
