Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Magna, Utah is seeking a Third Operator to support the Propulsion Systems Division. This hands-on role involves manufacturing solid fuel rocket motors for government and commercial customers.

Travel is required, about 10% of the time. You will perform tooling/assembly/disassembly, case surface preparation, final product assembly, propellant handling, and maintain a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; education verified.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing/assembly experience.
• Ability to obtain Safe Explosives Act Employee Possessor status.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tooling, assembly and disassembly of solid fuel rocket motors.
• Case surface preparation, final product assembly and propellant handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and facilities; follow written instructions.
• Perform basic math and measurement tasks; contribute to safety, quality, cost and scheduling.
