Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a skilled welder/pipefitter to join the Stennis Test team in Mississippi. You’ll read blueprints, operate TIG/MIG equipment, and perform layout and fit-up for large-scale propulsion systems.

Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand long hours, and pass a background check for on-site work at a government partner location. Night shifts, weekends, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a welder or pipefitter.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs unassisted, stand for long periods, and use standard PPE.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and/or engineering drawings.
• Experience with welding equipment (TIG, MIG, etc.).
• Experience with part layout and fit-up.
• Night shifts, weekends, and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively perform work according to procedures, specs, and work instructions, ensuring the team meets expectations.
• Identify and set daily/weekly team priorities to accomplish company goals while meeting safety and quality standards.
• Work with engineering and leadership to develop and implement process improvements for recurring work.
• Develop and implement technical training with coaching and mentorship for team members.
• Ensure all test stand equipment maintenance and services are performed safely and timely.
• Track and order common tooling and perform ROI justifications for purchases.
