Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Fluid Systems) in Hawthorne to assemble and test rocket hardware, troubleshoot systems, and support multiple propulsion engines with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalency, plus 1+ year in manufacturing or related fields or a cert in A&P/manufacturing/electronics; preferred candidates include an A&P license and 2+ years in aerospace engines.

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Capable of working autonomously to defined schedules while prioritizing safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Clean tools, valves, regulators and maintain a professional and neat work area
• Stage, install, set-up, test and de-stage engines
• Troubleshoot engines and cell systems
• Operate test cell instrumentation and readouts per test instructions
• Accept or reject test units based on calculated data and results
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications and test instructions
