Varda Space Industries, Inc. is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II - Ground Fluids to own end-to-end ground fluid systems across spacecraft programs.

You will shape architecture, P&IDs, design, fabrication, testing, and live-flight operations, including propellant loading campaigns, and define processes and standards for project-wide execution. Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, with 1–3+ years of experience
• 1+ years hands-on propulsion fluid system design, build, and test for spacecraft/launch vehicles
• Proficiency reading and writing P&IDs; familiarity with fluid hardware and testing procedures

Responsibilities

• Own ground fluid systems end-to-end: architecture, P&IDs, mechanical design, fabrication, and operations across satellite bus GSE and test stands
• Lead propellant loading campaigns across multiple facilities ensuring safety and mission readiness
• Define and improve propellant handling processes to meet flight specs and performance targets
• Drive the ground fluids roadmap by identifying gaps, prioritizing investments, and expanding the team
• Publish and maintain engineering standards, work instructions, and procedures used across propulsion
• Mentor junior engineers and act as technical reviewer for ground fluids outputs
• Represent ground fluids in design reviews, launch site meetings, and partner discussions
• Serve as final technical escalation point for complex fluid system problems and drive closure
