Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and configure satellite propulsion subsystems. You will work on core propulsion systems, including components and assemblies for flight, ground support, and test equipment, across development and operations lifecycles.

This position, coded Propulsion Engineer, hires for levels 1–2 and is onsite at our facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and test propulsion systems for spacecraft.
  • 1-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package.

Responsibilities

  • Perform propulsion design and configuration tasks for high performance satellite systems.
  • Perform first order layout and mass properties analyses of propulsion systems.
  • Identify materials, processes, and facilities for a qualified propulsion system.
  • Procurement of propulsion components, write specifications, and manage subcontractors and suppliers to cost/schedule targets.
  • Support propulsion qualification testing, test design, conduct, and interface equipment.
  • Produce part and assembly drawings for Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations.
  • Deliver written and oral technical presentations to executives and customers.
  • Identify and track subsystem schedule and deliverables.
  • Develop and document required design processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
