Job summary

Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) in Elkton, Maryland seeks an experienced Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and test solid-propellant propulsion components for launch vehicles, missiles, and space missions.

The role can be hired at Engineer level 2 or Principal Engineer level 3 based on education and experience; US citizenship and DoD Secret clearance eligibility are required, with a comprehensive benefits package accompanying the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least 2 years of solid propulsion experience or a Masters with 0 years of experience.
• Experience with propulsion systems, launch vehicles, missiles with solid propellants.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, or test of moderately complex propulsion systems, structural components, and control systems for propulsion systems.
• Coordinate strategy for multi-disciplinary design, optimization, and analysis to support mission requirements.
• Coordinate testing to evaluate design work as required.
