Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an experienced Propulsion Engineer for its Elkton, Maryland facility. The role offers progression between Associate Engineer Level 1 or Engineer Level 2 based on education, experience, and demonstrated skills, with responsibilities across design, analysis, and testing of solid-propellant propulsion systems.

The position requires a STEM degree and propulsion experience, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 1+ year solid propellant experience.
• Experience with propulsion systems and missiles with solid propellants.
• US citizen.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, or test propulsion systems and related components.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design, optimization, and analysis processes to support mission requirements.
• Define and coordinate testing of design work.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Support launch vehicle and space mission programs.
