Job summary

SpaceWorks Enterprises in Atlanta, GA seeks a Propulsion Engineer to join a small, multidisciplinary team to design, analyze, develop, and evaluate advanced propulsion systems from concept studies to ground testing and flight-system development. A BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required, with fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and CAD proficiency in Solid Works, Unigraphics NX, CATIA, or PTC Creo.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with CAD tools listed above.

Responsibilities

• Conduct propulsion design studies, including cycle analysis and system architecture assessments.
• Design, analyze, and evaluate propulsion components from paper studies through fabrication and test.
• Develop full-vehicle and subsystem thermal models.
• Support integration of propulsion system elements (liquid propulsion, tanks, pressurization).
• Participate in ground testing activities with data reduction.
• Perform propulsion performance modeling and validation against data.
• Communicate with suppliers, partners, and customers; brief stakeholders.
