Carrum Health, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead end-to-end responses to employer, benefits consultant, and health plan RFPs/RFIs, driving new client partnerships.

You will coordinate SME input, manage deadlines, and maintain content libraries to support growth. Reporting to the Head of Solutions & Strategy, you will collaborate across Solutions & Strategy, Customer Success, Legal, IT, and Leadership to ensure timely, accurate submissions.

• 5–9 years of RFP/RFP writing and management experience, health plan experience preferred.
• Excellent proofreading skills (grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax).
• Experience with proposal response project management and SME coordination.
• Familiar with RFP posting sites and content libraries (Loopio, MercerVIP, Shortlister, BenefitPitch).
• Strong organization, urgency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity.

We are looking for a Proposal Specialist to help us reply to employer, benefits consultant, and health plan RFPs and RFIs to drive new client partnerships for Carrum. The Proposal Specialist will play a critical role in our success.

Reporting to the Head of Solutions & Strategy, you will own the end-to-end process for completing RFPs/RFIs and be crucial to on-time submission. You’ll be responsible for cross-functional collaboration with SMEs, tracking internal & final due dates, and content management. You’ve hustled, you’ve created, you’ve implemented, and you love the intensity of a startup in high-growth mode.

• Own delivery of RFPs/RFIs, which directly lead to reaching our lives on platform growth targets.
• Ensure Carrum is positioned competitively while adhering to timeliness and accuracy in delivery. You will bring attention to detail and diligence to those processes as well as to maintaining or content source of truth.
• Regularly collaborate with the rest of Solutions & Strategy, Customer Success, Provider Relations, Legal, IT, and Executive Leadership.
• Help build better RFP/RFI and content management working practices.
• Update, uplevel, and maintain Carrum materials, establishing processes to regularly review standard responses and keeping them up to date in internal libraries and external libraries (e.g., in consultant online databases including MercerVIP, Shortlister, BenefitPitch)
• Assist with other related duties and projects as assigned

• Bring a rich background of proposal management for health plans and/or direct-to-employer healthcare or healthcare adjacent point solutions. We hope to see from you:
• Have 5-9 years of RFP/RFP writing and management experience (health plan experience strongly preferred; healthcare or healthcare-adjacent point solution experience will be considered)
• Have excellent proofreading skills (e.g., grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax errors)
• Are comfortable working with Google Suite, RFP tools (Loopio preferred) and familiarity with RFP posting sites (e.g., MercerVIP, Shortlister, BenefitPitch)
• Experience in proposal response project management, cross-functional SME management, and relationship building to ensure on-time SME contributions
• Have a track record of submitting RFPs/RFIs on time. Maintains a sense of urgency in driving projects to successful completion, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Have experience with organizing and updating content library management platforms (Loopio experience preferred)
• Are highly organized, diligent, with hyper attention to detail
• Are comfortable with and/or have experience with Claude or other AI tools (this is a plus)
• Are excited by and have historically completed role-adjacent or even unrelated side projects (nice to have)
• You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
