Job summary

BFL Construction is seeking a motivated Proposal and Marketing Specialist to support growth. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will manage multiple initiatives, develop winning proposals, and help craft corporate materials.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in proposal/marketing in construction, engineering, or architectural services.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or journalism.
• Excellent writing, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Strong MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative, compelling proposals (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) and presentations.
• Manage proposal execution: plans, deadlines, input, revisions, and edits.
• Maintain a database of standardized proposal content and project profiles.
• Monitor bid sites for opportunities and summarize for internal review.
• Track new project opportunities in CRM; take minutes at BD meetings.
• Lead and support social content creation on LinkedIn.
• Build collaborative relationships across business groups and external stakeholders.
• Create corporate and promotional materials as needed.
• Assist other departments with communications and marketing initiatives.

Opportunity Summary:

We are looking for a strong specialist, an excellent communicator, marketer, and writer to support the growth of our business. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, we are looking for a team player who can manage multiple concurrent initiatives and execute with detail-oriented precision. We are an innovative, growing team with lots of enthusiasm and looking to add a motivated Proposal and Marketing Specialist to our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop creative, compelling, and winning proposals (RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs) and presentations that set BFL apart.
• Manage proposal execution: Develop proposal plans, set development and review deadlines, and follow up with team members for input, produce, revise, and edit content to suit the submission, and ensure final proposals look professional and read well.
• Assist in maintaining a database of standardized proposal content, writing and revising content as needed. Update project information, including project profiles, images, and resumes.
• Monitor bid sites for project opportunities (RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs). Summarize and share opportunities for internal review.
• Assist with accurate tracking of new project opportunities in our CRM system. Enter contact, project, and account information on behalf of the team, and take minutes at BD meetings.
• Lead and support social media content creation on LinkedIn.
• Build collaborative relationships across the business groups and external stakeholders.
• Create corporate and promotional materials, such as brochures, as needed.
• Assist other departments with initiatives that require communications and marketing support.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Strong technical and business writing skills.
• 2+ years of experience working in a proposal/marketing capacity within a construction, engineering, or architectural services industry preferred with a proposal driven role in another industry considered.
• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field like journalism.
• Exceptional organization, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of strategic proposal development processes.
• Ability to manage, balance & support multiple projects, deadlines, project teams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Team player with ability to motivate others and stimulate creativity.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva a bonus.
• Excellent relationship building, communication and teamwork skills
