Job summary

Toole Design in Portland is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to manage the full proposal lifecycle, coordinating proposals with technical staff and teaming partners. You will apply graphic design skills to craft layouts in InDesign and ensure accuracy through copy editing and proofreading.

The role supports growth and impact within a collaborative, hybrid team. Target salary range is $68,000 to $73,000 with comprehensive benefits and a 3/2 in-office/remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in proposal preparation/coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office.
• Basic experience with Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Collaborative approach to generating strategies and developing creative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the full proposal lifecycle and coordinate proposal assignments with technical staff and teaming partners.
• Use graphic design skills and InDesign to produce compelling layouts that meet standards and are compliant.
• Perform copy editing and proofreading to ensure error-free products.
• Develop interview presentations and marketing collateral.

What You'll Do

You independently manage the full proposal lifecycle and coordinate proposal assignments with technical staff and teaming partners. You use your graphic design skills and creativity to produce appealing layouts in InDesign and ensure that proposals are compliant and meet Toole Design's standards. You perform copy editing and proofreading to ensure products are error-free. You develop interview presentations and marketing collateral.

What You Bring:

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, English, journalism, or similar relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Four to five years of hands‑on experience in proposal preparation/coordination, layout design, writing, and copy editing, and working with a team
• Advanced proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Basic experience with Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Exceptional organizational skills
• A collaborative approach to generating strategies and developing creative solutions
