Job summary

Little is seeking aProposal/Business Development Specialist to strengthen our Marketing & Business Development Team. You will help tell our brand story, shape pursuit strategies and collaborate across firms to win high-quality proposals.

You’ll focus on development, production and delivery of compelling responses in a fast-paced environment, with hybrid work options across multiple offices including Charlotte, NC. Occasional after-hours work may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or demonstrated equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related experience. Experience in the A/E/C industry is preferred
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of firm leadership
• Highly organized, dependable, detail oriented and thorough
• Superior editing / proofreading skills; excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in InDesign or graphic design experience preferred

Join our Marketing & Business Development Team as a Proposal Specialist and you will directly support and promote our brand, mission, and reputation through powerful storytelling, pursuit strategy, and a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Location: Open to any Little office location - Charlotte, NC, Charleston, SC, DC (Tysons Corner), Durham, NC, Newport Beach, CA or Orlando, FL

Collaborating closely with business development team colleagues and firmwide leadership, you’ll be focused on the development, production and delivery of high quality, competitive and compelling proposal responses. It’s a highly visible role in a fast-paced, challenging (and rewarding!) environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Document Layout/ Graphic Design (in InDesign)
• Production schedule and management, including coordination of internal reviews
• Proofing and overall quality control
• Final production / printing / delivery / delivery tracking
• Post-proposal debrief / follow up (internal and external)
• Documentation of findings (lessons learned, best practices, reasons for not making short list, trends, etc.)
• CRM data management
• BD & Market Research

Your Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or demonstrated equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related experience. Experience in the A/E/C industry is preferred
• Ability to effectively interact with of all levels of firm leadership
• Highly organized, dependable, detail oriented and thorough
• Superior ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands to meet deadline constraints
• High level of proficiency in InDesign, graphic design experience preferred
• Exceptional editing / proofreading skills
• Superior client service mentality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; creative writing experience a definite plus
• Willingness to work after hours and on weekends if absolutely necessary, and sometimes on short notice, in order to meet deadlines
• Strong business sense, leadership, and communication skills.
