Position Summary
The Proposal Associate, Preconstruction-Estimation is responsible for assisting the Sales Team & Operations/Project Managers with the development of proposal packages for customer deliverables and assure all aspects of the final proposal deliverable is ready for distribution by the sales rep. Interacts & communicates with internal resources such as Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, OTS/Controls, CX and operations teams to produce the overall delivery proposals. Has professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists sales personnel by obtaining the necessary data to ensure the Preconstruction and estimation departments have what they need to compile the deliverable.
- Conducts weekly estimation deliverable meetings to assure all lines of business are aware of action items and timely deliveries.
- Prepares proposals for various business lines, including:
- Data Center Implementation (DCI)
- Design Build Projects
- Other Construction (Turnkey Projects)
- White Space Fit Out (TFO)
- Service Operations (SO)
- Battery Install
- Battery Maintenance
- Electrical Maintenance / Testing
- Facility Operations
- HVAC Install
- HVAC Maintenance
- Monitoring
- OTS/Controls
- QA/QC and CX Services
- Prepares proposals and participates in presentations, as necessary, in conjunction with the PreCon Managers/Estimators.
- Works with the marketing team to ensure we have the necessary components within our proposal package.
- Assists on startup package for project handoffs upon award for Sales Rep.
- Reviews awarded projects with Operations/Project Manager.
- Assists in special projects.
- Advocates and enforces proper safety measures in all company operations.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience (Desired):
- Minimum 2-3 years of general construction, mechanical, electrical, low voltage or trade school experience.
- Knowledge of Project Management/Bidding software Procore.
- Must have a stable work history.
- Field experience is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, engineering, or related degree.
- Experience in program/project management is a plus.
- Knowledge/Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to communicate with internal resources to determine their needs.
- Ability to forecast requirements, resources and projected timelines required to complete the deliverable.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Ability to work closely with management.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
- Good reasoning and logic skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Comfortable and persistent with follow up and accountability.
- Certificates and Licenses: No certificates or licenses required.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities with this position.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects 10 to 50 pounds.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally sitting, climbing, and balancing.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
