Job summary

CPG is seeking a Proposal Associate in Ashburn, VA, with remote or hybrid options for strong Commercial or Data Center Estimating experience. The role supports Sales and Operations/Project Managers in developing proposal packages and coordinating internal resources to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

The position involves interacting with Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, CX, and Operations teams, plus assisting in startup packages and presentations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Marketing to ensure proposal components are included.
• Assist startup packages for project handoffs upon award.

TITLE: Proposal Associate Location: Ashburn, VA (open to remote or hybrid for strong Commercial or Data Center Estimating Exp) POSITION SUMMMARY: The Proposal Associate, Preconstruction-Estimation is responsible for assisting the Sales Team & Operations/Project Managers with the development of proposal packages for customer deliverables and assure all aspects of the final proposal deliverable is ready for distribution by the sales rep. Interacts & communicates with internal resources such as Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, OTS/Controls, CX and operations teams to produce the overall delivery proposals. Has professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists sales personnel by obtaining the necessary data to assure the Preconstruction and estimation departments have what they need to compile the deliverable.
• Conducts weekly estimation deliverable meeting to assure all lines of business are aware of actions items to assure timely deliveries.
• Prepares Proposals for the following hierarchy business lines:
• Data Center Implementation (DCI)
• Design Build Projects
• ii. Other Construction (Turnkey Projects)
• iii. White Space Fit Out (TFO)
• Service Operations (SO)
• Battery Install
• ii. Battery Maintenance
• iii. Electrical Maintenance / Testing
• iv. Facility Operations
• HVAC Install
• vi. HVAC Maintenance
• vii. Monitoring
• viii. OTS/Controls
• ix. QA/QC and CX Services
• Prepares proposals and participates in presentations, as necessary, in conjunction with the PreCon Managers/Estimators.
• Works with the marketing team to ensure we have the necessary components within our proposal package.
• Assists on startup package for project handoffs upon award for Sales Rep.
• Reviews awarded projects with Operations/Project Manager.
• Is responsible for assisting in special projects.
• Advocates and enforces proper safety measures in all company operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience (Desired):

• Minimum 2-3 years of general construction, mechanical, electrical, low volatage or trade school experience.
• Knowledge of Project Management/Bidding software Procore
• Must have a stable work history
• Field experience is preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, engineering, or related degree.
• Experience in program/project management is a plus.

Knowledge/Computer Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to communicate with Internal resources to determine their needs.
• Ability to forecast requirements, resources and projected timelines required to complete the deliverable.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Ability to work closely with management.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
• Good reasoning and logic skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
