Job summary

Douglas County Assessor/Register of Deeds Office seeks a field-support specialist to conduct property inspections, collect data on sales and new construction, and maintain accurate property records. You will build professional relationships with county staff, officials, and the public while complying with policies and safety standards.

The role requires outdoor work, driving between sites, and the ability to capture precise measurements and sketches for valuation updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in real estate appraisal, assessment, sales, brokerage and/or real estate construction preferred.
• Two years of experience with MSOffice required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections of properties and collect data on real estate transactions, new construction and permits.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, officials, attorneys, the public and other agencies.
• Transfer field data to property record files after site inspections.
• Review blueprints, maps, plats, mortgages and contracts to determine classifications.
• Inspect new construction and alterations for valuation adjustments and update records accordingly.
• Record information from the field to ensure accurate permanent records.
