Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a specialized field … equivalent to two years of college, plus 2 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house real estate evaluations in narrative form by providing an estimate of the property's market value.
• Perform appraisal reviews to determine whether methods and value conclusions are reasonable and supportive of credit decisions.
• Ensure appraisal compliance with regulations, supervisory guidelines, and bank policy.
• Communicate deficiencies to appraisers and follow through for corrections.
• Become knowledgeable with the RIMS appraisal management system.
• Conduct exterior inspections and document with photos.
