Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to support growth across the Western United States. You will review and underwrite new and renewal business, analyze risk exposures, and maintain strong agency partnerships to drive profitability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with underwriting, brokerage, claims, and service teams to deliver competitive solutions and superior client experiences within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• 3+ years of commercial Property underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting Middle Market and/or E&S Property business preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Review, analyze, and underwrite new and renewal business within authority.
• Evaluate risk exposures, coverage requests, and pricing.
• Maintain relationships with retail agents, brokers, and carriers.
