Job summary

The position emphasizes research, compliance, consulting, and potential controversies, with a focus on reducing tax burdens and ensuring accurate filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math or related field.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Economics, Math or related field preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of property, state and local or multi-state tax experience required.
• Prior property tax compliance and real property appeals experience preferred.
• Property Tax Consultant License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research: identify issues, frame research questions, analyze facts and authorities.
• Tax Compliance: provide client service to multi-state companies, identify tax savings opportunities, respond to inquiries, ensure compliance.
• Tax Consulting: develop and implement tax strategies to maximize client benefits.
• Tax Controversy: review notices, prepare valuation analyses, negotiate with assessors.
• Tax Related Software: use PTMS, One Source or other tax software, train staff on tools.
• Strategy Development: develop and implement tax strategies, educate professionals, build client relationships.
• Other duties as required.
