The ideal candidate has 7+ years in property tax within mining/manufacturing, strong Excel/JDE/BlackLine/PTMS skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive real estate and business personal property tax compliance experience in a mining/manufacturing industry.
• Significant experience handling appeals for a multistate portfolio, specifically including Texas.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using JDE, BlackLine, and PTMS property tax software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while working independently and collaboratively, with sound judgment.
• CMI or CPA preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state real estate and business personal property tax compliance for a select portfolio of complex properties.
• Identify, research and pursue property tax savings opportunities.
• Independently manage the valuation appeal process for complex jurisdictions in the portfolio.
• Analyze tax data using Excel and PTMS to prepare reports on liabilities and savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and taxing jurisdiction personnel.
• Adhere to SOX compliance, policies, and procedures.
