Job summary

Kroll is seeking a Property Tax Analyst to blend finance and analytical skills for real estate and personal property tax consulting. You will review assessment notices, perform preliminary valuation, and analyze asset data for exemptions while communicating with clients and tax authorities across the U.S.

The role requires travel about 10% of the time and a strong foundation in accounting/finance with an attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergrad or graduate degree in relevant fields.
  • Graduation date between Dec 2026 and Jul 2027.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with team, clients, assessors and taxing authorities.
  • Secure and audit tax statements (assessment notices, tax bills).
  • Learn and apply assessment rules, exemptions, and valuation approaches across states.
  • Understand and apply property tax exemption rules and certification requirements for client equipment.
  • Learn valuation techniques including three approaches to value for real and personal property.
  • Participate in training to stay updated on industry trends and procedures.
