Job summary

Arch internship program offers an 8-week summer opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. Interns will learn property and specialty underwriting, work with underwriters, and develop professional skills through education sessions, capstone projects, and-team activities.

The role emphasizes goal setting, task prioritization, and collaboration, with hybrid work in Morristown, NJ. Scheduled June 2 to July 23, 2027, relocation or housing assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing Insurance & Risk Management, Business, Finance or Engineering studies.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Current sophomore with graduation between Dec 2028–May 2029.

Responsibilities

• Participate in education sessions and gain exposure to property and specialty underwriting, analysis, networking, and team-building opportunities.
• Receive hands-on training with underwriters and the assistant underwriting team through repetitive learning.
• Learn underwriting systems, processes, and account setup.
• Assist the team with tasks to develop an understanding of property and specialty underwriting while providing research and information.
• Demonstrate the ability to achieve results by setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and staying accountable to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other interns on group activities, including the end-of-program capstone project.
