Job summary

Accessible Space is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance person for our apartment building in Kansas City, KS. A caretaker unit is available rent free, with compensation of $21-$24 per hour.

The role involves maintaining a clean, safe environment, performing minor repairs, handling unit turnovers, and assisting with inspections. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently.
• Effective communication orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday between 7am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Handle unit turnovers.
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.

• Implement required unit and building inspections

Property Caretaker / Maintenance qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs
• Work independently
• Effective communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm

Full time hours available at our other location in Kansas City, KS
