Job summary

The Montana Department of Revenue seeks a Property Records Specialist in Havre to maintain and certify county property records for accurate tax billings. You will process ownership and sale information and support taxpayers and county officials while ensuring reliable records.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of property valuation, GIS, and office software, plus strong communication skills and attention to detail. Some travel is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• One year of post-secondary education or training.
• One year of job-related experience.
• Experience in appraisal, assessment, auditing, or real estate related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and certify property values and records for county property tax purposes.
• Process ownership and sales information and support taxpayer programs.
• Assist with taxpayer appeals and ensure accuracy of property records.
