State of Indiana's Department of Natural Resources seeks a Property Operations Manager for a small DNR property. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate public use, manage projects, and supervise staff.

This exempt role requires on-site residence when housing is available, on-call readiness, travel as needed, and delivering safe, efficient facilities with a strong emphasis on service to Hoosiers.

Qualifications

• Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.
• Live on site when housing is available.
• On‑call 24 hours a day.
• Working knowledge of resource management principles.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to supervise a diverse range of employees.
• Experience with budgeting and revenue oversight.
• A degree is not required; 4+ years in related field may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of a small DNR property.
• Plans, coordinates, and directs public use activities on the property.
• Directs construction, maintenance and repair projects with various labor sources.
• May operate camping program activities, including sales and visitor services.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment and vehicles; on‑call for emergencies.
• Assist with budgeting and revenue oversight, donations, and fee collections.
• Represent the property and department with local partnerships and organizations.
• Recruit, on‑board, train, and evaluate employees; monitor performance and standards.
