Job Title

Property Manager, Multifamily (Affordable, Bilingual)

Job Description Summary

Multifamily Bilingual Affordable Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service. They motivate high-performing teams to maximize the performance of HUD tax credit / LIHTC properties.

Starting salary ranges from $72,000 to $80,000, with eligibility for additional earnings and benefits.

Essential Job Duties
  1. Ensure the smooth operation of our community in a fast-paced environment, overseeing maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  2. Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards.
  3. Track and evaluate advertising efforts and all client traffic.
  4. Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing, cohesive team across leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.
  5. Drive revenue through analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.
  6. Lead by example, embodying Cushman & Wakefield's mission to be the best national management company.
  7. Supervise daily operations of the on-site team, ensuring policy adherence.
  8. Maintain effective staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  9. Manage residents' files in accordance with company standards.
  10. Create a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow-up.
  11. Manage the community's budget and finances.
  12. Collaborate with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
Competencies

  • Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Office, and internet navigation
  • Strong office, bookkeeping, sales skills, and excellent communication skills

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Real Estate License preferred
  • Affordable Housing Certifications (TCS, COS, BOS, HCCP) strongly preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of on-site Multifamily Property Manager experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Affordable, Tax Credit / Section 42 / LIHTC properties
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency required
Work Environment

Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment. Regular travel required.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs, and operate office machinery. Travel up to 15%. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
