Job Title

Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily (Affordable, Bilingual)

Job Description Summary

The Bilingual Multifamily Affordable Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize property performance.

Schedule: MON-FRI 8:30-5:30, occasional weekends to cover too.

Starting Wage: $26-$28 per hour, eligible for benefits.

Essential Job Duties
  1. Ensure the smooth operation of our community in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Assist the Property Manager with operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy management, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  3. Assist the Property Manager in providing superior customer service to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  4. Complete lease and renewal paperwork to company standards.
  5. Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
  6. Support the team by embodying the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
  7. Assist with daily operations of the on-site team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain effective staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  9. Maintain resident files according to standards.
  10. Foster a positive living environment through conflict resolution and follow-up.
  11. Manage community budget and finances.
  12. Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
Competencies
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet navigation.
  • General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to set goals and improve staff performance.
  • Supervise daily team operations and ensure policy compliance.
  • Manage a team effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School required.
  • Preference for Affordable Certification(s): TCS, COS, BOS, HCCP.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of on-site Multifamily Assistant Property Management experience.
  • Experience with LIHTC, Section 42 tax credit, HUD programs.
  • Yardi experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency required.
  • At least 1 year of management experience.
Work Environment

Professional office setting; regular travel between properties in various weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, ascend stairs, and travel. Capable of exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and frequently.
