A leading organization in San Francisco seeks a Waterfront Property Manager to oversee the management and leasing of Port land and buildings. The role involves lease negotiations, compliance inspections, and maintaining tenant relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a bachelor’s degree, and extensive experience in commercial real estate management.
Under general direction, the Waterfront Property Managerimplements programs for management and leasing of Port land and buildings for retail, commercial, office and industrial uses. Responsibilities include an assignment that focuses on a combination of property management, leasing and occasional special events coordination.

Education
Possession of bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; AND
Experience
Three (3) years verifiable experience in commercial and/or industrial real estate property or asset management or in the development of financial agreements/transactions related to commercial real estate. This experience should include roles where direct interactions with tenants and other building professionals were required (e.g. building engineers, brokers, attorneys, etc.).
Please Note : Experience limited to apartments, condos, single-family homes or residential property management with retail floor space primarily serving residential tenants, does not meet the qualifications for this role.
License
Possession of a valid California driver’s license (to be presented at time of appointment). Employees must be insurable under the Port’s automobile liability insurance. Insurability must be maintained throughout employment.
Substitution
Education Substitution: Additional qualifying work experience as described above may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis, up to two (2) years (One year of work experience is equal to 30 semester units or 45 quarter units).
Experience Substitution: Possession of a master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in real estate, business administration with a finance or real estate concentration, or law degree with a real estate concentration may substitute for one year of the required experience as described above.

Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card
This position requires that the incumbent be qualified for unescorted access to the Port’s Maritime Transportation System (MTS). An application for a TWIC card may be submitted after employment has commenced. Employment in this position requires that the incumbent undergo a criminal history check, immigration check and terrorist threat assessment, including FBI fingerprints, in order to determine eligibility for security clearance.
The incumbent must submit an application for, successfully acquire and maintain a TWIC card. Per Civil Service Rule 110.9.1, every applicant must possess and maintain the qualifications required by law and by the announcement for this examination. Failure to acquire or maintain a TWIC card, a requirement for this position, may be the basis for termination from employment with the Port Commission.
