Commercial Property Manager (Texas Region)

Location: Field-Based (Texas)

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Frequent site travel required throughout Texas

This position is remote, but candidates must reside in the Fort Worth area.

Overview:

A privately held real estate investment firm with a national portfolio is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee a dynamic portfolio of shopping centers and commercial properties across Texas. This is a field-based role focused on property operations, vendor management, tenant relations, and lease administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and vendor relations across assigned properties
• Conduct regular property inspections and prepare detailed reports
• Manage service contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance
• Supervise on-site personnel, vendors, and contractors
• Enforce lease terms in coordination with Lease Administration
• Maintain strong tenant relationships and address issues promptly
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and capital improvements
• Assist in budget preparation and strategic planning
• Process invoices, tenant bill-backs, and ensure financial compliance
• Ensure compliance with local codes and resolve any violations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property management, ideally with shopping centers
• Background in construction management or facilities maintenance is a plus
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, self-directed, and solution-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; mobile technology competency (iPad/iPhone)
• Experience with property/accounting software (Yardi, Skyline, Avid, MIR) preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits
