Job description

Property Manager

Stay Texas Hospitality Group

Full-time | On site — Texas Department: Operations Schedule: Monday–Friday | On call some weekends and holidays Reports to: Property Manager Compensation: USD $40,000–$55,000 / year

About the brand

Stay Texas manages vacation homes across the Texas Hill Country and beyond, combining local expertise with a genuine love for the Texas experience. From family vacations to romantic getaways, the goal is to make every stay feel welcoming, personal, and effortless — while helping homeowners protect their properties and maximize their investment. With local teams handling housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, revenue management, and guest support, the details matter at Stay Texas.

The role

You own the performance and day-to-day operation of a portfolio of short-term rental homes. You are the main point of contact for property owners, the person who keeps maintenance and housekeeping moving, and the person making sure problems are handled before they become guest complaints. This is a role for someone who is comfortable being in the field, talking to owners and vendors, checking the details, and following something through until it is actually done. Assigning a work order is not the same as resolving it. If something is yours, you own the follow-through.

Where you sit

You sit in Operations and work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, Guest Services, revenue management, vendors, and leadership.

This is an on-site role in Texas, Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities on weekends and holidays. You will spend time both managing your portfolio from your computer and visiting properties in the field.

What you'll own
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of short-term rental properties and own their overall performance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for property owners and keep communication clear and proactive.
  • Monitor occupancy, revenue, pricing, expenses, and guest reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct property inspections and make sure homes meet cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards.
  • Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, and external vendors, following up until work is actually completed.
  • Make sure properties are ready for upcoming guest arrivals and proactively address anything that could affect the stay.
  • Track property issues and performance, communicate important updates to leadership, and look for ways to make the portfolio better.
What you bring
  • 2+ years of experience in hospitality, property management, operations, or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with customers, owners, vendors, or other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through.
  • A proactive mindset — you look for problems before someone else reports them.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities and working independently.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Comfort with Google Workspace and everyday technology.
  • Tech-savvy and interested in using AI to work more efficiently.
  • Reliable communication and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $40,000–$55,000/year, depending on experience.
  • Performance-based bonus/commission tied to portfolio performance and guest reviews.
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • PTO.
