Job summary

Habitat America in Berlin, MD is seeking an experienced Tax Credit Property Manager to oversee LIHTC and Section 8 HUD communities. This full-time role emphasizes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and outstanding resident service.

The Community Manager will supervise staff, manage leasing and occupancy, review monthly financials, and ensure timely reporting while maintaining strict adherence to LIHTC and HUD requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Property Manager or Community Manager.
• Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or COS certification or similar affordable housing certification strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following company policies and leadership direction.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing financial reports and managing property budgets.
• Knowledge of resident income certification and recertification processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
