Job summary

BrightPath Kids Akron is seeking a facilities maintenance specialist to oversee maintenance for up to 15 locations and perform light construction, repairs, and appliance troubleshooting. You will manage exterior spaces, vendor performance, and stay on top of work orders.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 2+ years in a related role. The position supports audits, regulatory visits, and compliance initiatives, collaborating with third-party vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance for up to 15 locations.
• Perform light construction and repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Troubleshoot appliances and equipment (refrigerators, dishwashers).
• Maintain exterior spaces and manage playground/vendor relationships.
• Use work order system to track requests and ensure timely completion.
• Support audits, regulatory visits, and compliance initiatives.

What will you be doing?

• Total site(s) maintenance and management of up to 15 locations
• Light construction and/or maintenance to include, but not limited to: construction, carpentry, plumbing (most common), electrical, painting, flooring, pest treatment, and other general repairs
• Small appliance troubleshooting and repair (refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.)
• Exterior space maintenance and vendor management, including playgrounds
• Work order management system for internal requests
• Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and manage their performance
• Monitor contractual obligations
• Support the centers through Audits, Regulatory Visits, Initiatives, Compliance violations, Fleet Compliance, etc.
