JLL’s Property Management internship in Minneapolis offers hands‑on exposure to invoicing, rent collection, lease administration, and vendor management. You will work under the General Manager to support asset planning and client reporting.

Ideal candidates are actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree with strong initiative, comfort speaking publicly, and the ability to build relationships while working independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years completed in business or related field.
• Interest in property management and real estate.
• Demonstrated initiative and proactive attitude.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting.
• Ability to build relationships and work with others.
• Problem solving and bringing innovative ideas to challenges.

Responsibilities

• Process and code all accounts payable invoices for the property per established schedules.
• Ensure invoices are paid on time and review past due invoices; obtain backup from vendors as needed.
• Send rent statements to tenants per accounting calendar.
• Collect rent and minimize accounts receivable balances.
• Provide lease administration, including lease abstraction and file maintenance.
• Track COIs and notify tenants/vendors of expirations; maintain COI spreadsheet.
• Prepare contracts for services as directed by the General Manager.
• Complete assigned financial reporting tasks for client requirements.
• Assist GM in annual asset planning and budgeting preparation.
• Provide QA on contracted vendors as requested by GM.
• Participate in the property’s Emergency Response Plan and procedures.
• Assist in Move-In/Move-Out processes and procedures.
• Answer phones and greet visitors.
• Administer tenant relations programs and tenant events.
• Address tenant maintenance/service requests promptly and escalate urgent matters.
