Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in Port Saint Lucie, FL, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our community team. You will perform basic repairs, general grounds and lawn maintenance for homes owned by the community and handle routine work orders and make-ready tasks.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high levels of tenant and vendor service. The role may require on-call duties and physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and

Qualifications

• Experience in general property maintenance and preventative maintenance on a community or complex.
• Ability to perform make-ready work to prepare vacant units for leasing or move-ins.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
• Valid operator’s license and clean driving record preferred.

Job description

We are presently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team for our community near Port St. Lucie, Florida. In this role, you’ll performbasic repairs,general grounds and lawn maintenanceto homes owned by the community.

As a successful Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Perform assigned work orders, as well as preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant units for leasing and new move-ins.
• Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris.
• Document work orders in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain proper inventory of materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items.
• Ensure to consistently provide a high level of customer service to tenants, vendors and staff.
• Remain available for “on-call” duties as needed.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry is a plus.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Ability to lift or to move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds
