Job summary

EHDOC in Madawaska, ME seeks a Maintenance Person to perform routine maintenance and safety duties at La Maison Acadienne and Montfort Heights. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with on-site responsibilities across grounds and common areas.

The position requires a Basic Universal License, 3+ years of maintenance experience, and the ability to perform electrical, plumbing, painting and janitorial tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years building maintenance experience.
• Basic Universal License required, may be obtained within first year.
• Good verbal and written communication in the property's predominant language.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks as scheduled by supervisor.
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours or escalate as needed.
• Perform electrical and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare units for turnover including painting, cleaning and repairs.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and inventory of parts and materials.
• Participate in safety programs and follow evacuation procedures.
