Job summary

Roofstock, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain rental properties across multiple sites near Birmingham, AL. The role requires hands-on repairs, inspections, and coordination with external vendors.

You will drive to local properties daily, perform HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, handle turnovers and audits, and manage service tasks via mobile apps. A valid HVAC Type II certification is required, universal preferred.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Comfortable using mobile apps for work orders and communication.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform field tasks.
• Daily travel to local properties.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Turnovers: Prepare vacant units for new move-ins (make-readies).
• Inspections: Conduct move-in/out and property onboarding audits.
• QA: Audit work completed by external vendors.
• Field Ops: Manage service tasks via mobile apps and post legal notices.
