Job summary

The Maimon Group, a luxury vacation rental and asset management firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Property Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair high-end properties across the LA area. You’ll handle mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, coordinate with inspectors and vendors, and receive a company vehicle and tools.

Growth is supported via regular training and benefits after 90 days. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property maintenance for luxury properties, strong problem-solving

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years in property maintenance, preferably in luxury rentals.
  • Strong understanding of systems in luxury properties and asset management.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting home security and theater systems, remotes, blinds.
  • Able to diagnose issues and recommend repairs or maintenance.
  • Attention to detail with safety-focused approach.
  • Physically capable of lifting and climbing as needed.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Fully maintain all properties, replacing bulbs, outdoor areas, air filters, and batteries.
  • Prepare painted surfaces and apply finishes as required.
  • Clean and maintain the household and surroundings.
  • Assemble, adjust, and inspect furniture; manage material orders.
  • Perform routine pool maintenance and report water quality issues.
  • Service HVAC systems and troubleshoot climate control.
  • Handle in-home audio/video integrations and TV/sound system troubleshooting.

Position Summary:

Currently, we’re seeking a Property Maintenance Technician ready to bring their assembly and repair skills to our luxury properties in Los Angeles and the surrounding area.Picture an average day where you’re our trusted expert responsible for ensuring all our five-star properties operate at their best. In this role, you’ll handle routine maintenance like a pro able to confidently deal with any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues that pop up.You’ll also collaborate closely with our Property Inspectors and third-party vendors, utilizing your strong project management skills to ensure all tasks are smoothly coordinated and completed to our high standards. With a company vehicle and professional tools, we’ll make sure you have the necessary equipment to get the job done. Plus, after 90 days, you’ll receive health insurance and additional benefits. Responsibilities:
  • Fully maintain the upkeep of all company’s properties, including but not limited to replacing light bulbs, BBQ and BBQ area maintenance, swapping out air filters, batteries, and other daily tasks needed to keep the property in excellent shape.
  • Prepare painted surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces as required.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the household as well as its surroundings, such as sweeping, washing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces
  • Furniture assembly, adjusting, trimming, fitting parts, inspecting wood, ensuring quality standards, handling material orders
  • Perform routine maintenance on pools, including water cleaning, cleaning filters, fixing lights, identifying damage in pool walls and conducting repairs, maintaining stock records, and reporting water quality issues to management.
  • Servicing HVAC needs: heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, maintaining and repairing various indoor climate control systems
  • Perform in-home audio/video integrations and troubleshooting while cleaning/maintaining TVs and sound systems to ensure they are working correctly.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Must have at least 2+ years of experience in property maintenance, specifically within short-term or long-term rental properties.
  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of the components and systems in luxury properties, combined with experience in operating and managing luxury assets such as high-end homes, hotels, or apartments to maximize their value and performance.
  • Tech-Savvy: Skilled in troubleshooting home security systems, home theater systems, TVs, streaming services, remotes, electrical blinds, and curtains, as well as mounting TVs.
  • Problem-Solving: Proficient in identifying potential issues, diagnosing problems, and providing recommendations for repairs or maintenance.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to identify even the smallest defects or safety hazards to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of climbing ladders, assembling furniture, crawling through tight spaces, and lifting heavy equipment as needed.
  • Sense of Urgency: Strong task management skills with responsiveness to customer, operational, and property needs.
  • License: Must hold a valid California Driver’s License
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, appliances, or mechanical equipment is required (not limited to basic handyman work).
Preferred Technical Experience:

Experience with any of the following in residential or hospitality environments is strongly preferred

  1. Diagnosing and repairing household appliances
  2. Electrical troubleshooting beyond fixture replacement
  3. Working with residential electrical panels, breakers, or 220V appliance systems
  4. HVAC troubleshooting or system diagnostics
  5. Use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters or voltage testers
Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Wage: $28.00 - $40.00 / hour based on experience and achievement

Bonus: Personal bonus paid on a monthly basis, subject to management approval.
