Job summary

Enclave is seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations at Ivy at SOCO in Grand Forks, ND. You’ll ensure safety, reliability, and high service standards for residents and teams.

The role requires hands-on skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, strong problem-solving, and clear communication. On-call availability is limited; hourly pay plus bonuses are offered.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns.
• Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; perform repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Equipment Installation and Setup: Install new machinery or systems according to safety guidelines and test post-installation.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and environmental health protocols.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Collaboration and Support: Work with maintenance personnel, engineers, and facility managers to improve equipment reliability.

About the Role

Property Maintenance Technician

Position Logistics

• Primary Work Location: Ivy at SOCO | Grand Forks, ND
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard hours
• Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Quick diagnosis of issues and finding effective solutions.

• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to machinery and equipment.
• Communication Skills: Ability to report issues clearly and collaborate with other team members.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting heavy objects, standing, or working in awkward positions.

Position Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns. Lubricate, clean, and adjust machines as necessary to ensure proper functioning. Replace worn or damaged parts and components to avoid equipment failure.

Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and systems. Work with team members or vendors to address complex issues and implement corrective actions.

Equipment Installation and Setup: Install new machinery, equipment, or systems according to specifications and safety guidelines. Test equipment post-installation to ensure proper functioning.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols. Use proper tools and equipment for repairs while minimizing hazards.

Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and inspections. Report issues, repairs, and inventory needs to supervisors or managers.

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and facility managers to improve equipment reliability. Provide technical support to other departments and team members when needed.

Individuals who have previous experience with factory maintenance positions, hotel maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, concrete, other trades, or those who are mechanically inclined/handy would be a great candidate for this position.

***Position requires limited on-call availability, receive Hourly + Bonus pay on assigned days! Reliable Transportation is required for this position***
