Job summary

Direct Communications in Rexburg, Idaho is seeking a Property Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair our residential properties. You will perform hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic equipment servicing across facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and comfort for residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varied weather.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and ongoing testing.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Perform minor repairs and technical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Appliance & Systems Care: Inspect, service, and repair home appliances and property fixtures to maximize efficiency and service life.
  • Proactive Facilities Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of grounds and buildings to spot issues early.
  • Resident Service & Communication: Respond promptly to work orders with courtesy and a customer-first focus.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist with structured maintenance programs to extend facility life and reduce costs.
  • Cleanliness & Grounds: Keep common areas, paths, and outdoor spaces clean and well-maintained.
  • Record Keeping: Document maintenance actions, repairs, and completed tasks.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in scheduled emergency/on-call response for urgent needs.

Property Maintenance Worker

Location: Rexburg, Idaho

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Plus emergency on-call as needed)

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Property Maintenance Worker to maintain, protect, and optimize our physical properties in Rexburg, Idaho. In this role, you will handle hands‑on repair work, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment servicing across our residential units and facilities. You will ensure our structures and spaces remain safe, operational, and comfortable for the residents and team members who depend on them.
