Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure high standards of property upkeep and safety. You will manage daily tasks, supervise vendors, coordinate preventative maintenance, and respond to on-call service requests, including snow removal and lock-outs, while promoting a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Self-motivated with attention to detail
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
• Property maintenance/handyman experience
• Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and prep vacant units for occupancy
• Assist with interviewing and screening potential staff with the manager
• Train service and custodial personnel
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Improve maintenance methods and processes
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs
• Hold the maintenance team accountable for attendance
• Schedule and supervise vendor work
• Manage inventory, orders, and deliveries for supplies
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed
• Respond to evictions-related lock-outs and 24-hour service requests
• Be available on-call
• Report unusual circumstances
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Ensure tools are on hand
