Job summary

GDS LLC is actively seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to uphold outdoor grounds at company properties and project sites. You will travel between locations as needed and report on-site conditions to the supervisor.

Responsibilities include lawn care, plant maintenance, irrigation upkeep, seasonal cleanup, and safe operation of equipment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to move between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with lawn care and landscaping is preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns at multiple properties and job sites.
• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Apply fertilizer, mulch and basic pest control as needed.
• Seasonal cleanup: leaves, beds and debris removal in spring/fall.
• Maintain irrigation systems and check sprinklers as needed.
• Operate landscaping equipment safely (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
• Report issues to supervisor promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and appearance of outdoor grounds at company properties and active job sites, as assigned by management. This is not a single-location role - work locations will vary based on company and project needs, and the employee must be available to travel between sites as directed.

Key Duties & Task

• Lawn care: mowing, edging, and trimming at all assigned properties and job sites.
• Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping features.
• Applying fertilizer, mulch, and basic pest control treatments as needed.
• Seasonal cleanup: leaf removal, bed cleanup, and general debris removal in spring and fall.
• Basic irrigation upkeep: checking and adjusting sprinklers/watering systems as needed.
• Snow and ice removal from walkways and other areas during winter months.
• Loading, transporting, and unloading tools, equipment, and materials between job sites.
• Operating landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools) safely and properly.
• Performing basic maintenance and upkeep on tools and equipment used.
• Reporting job site issues, delays, or additional needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Other landscaping or ground-related duties assigned, based on company needs.

Equipment & Tools

• The Property Maintenance Technician is preferred to have and use their own hand tools and basic equipment (e.g., trimmers, hand tools, personal mower where applicable).
• The company will provide tools and equipment for the Property Maintenance Technician if they do not have their own tools, having personal tools is preferred, not required.
• Any company-provided equipment must be properly maintained and reported if damaged or in need of repair.

Schedule & Travel Requirements

• Full-time schedule, with weekends as needed based on project and seasonal demand.
• Must be open to working at any company property or job site as assigned - travel between locations is a regular part of this role.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required to travel between job sites.
• Schedule and locations may change day-to-day based on business needs; flexibility is required.
• 7:00 AM until completion of daily duties.

Performing Standard

• Grounds and landscaping areas should be left clean, safe, and presentable after each visit.
• Work should be completed efficiently and, in order, /priority assigned by the supervisor.
• Safety procedures and PPE requirements must be always followed.
• Any equipment issues, safety hazards, or site concerns should be reported the same day they're identified.
