Job summary

ARBORS AT RIVERBEND in Indiana is seeking a Property Leasing Manager to oversee the leasing process for a multi-family community. You will attract and retain tenants while maximizing property revenue through effective leasing strategies.

You will lead a team of leasing agents, coordinate marketing, tenant screenings, and move-in/out activities, and collaborate with maintenance to keep properties well-maintained. This role requires strong communication and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3 years of property leasing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of leasing principles, rental laws, and Fair Housing regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of leasing agents, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective leasing strategies are implemented and leasing goals are met.
• Develop and implement leasing strategies to attract and retain tenants for residential or commercial properties.
• Market available units through various channels such as online listings, social media, and advertising to reach potential tenants.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective tenants, providing information about available properties and scheduling property tours.
• Conduct thorough screenings of prospective tenants, including background checks, credit checks, and rental history verification.
• Negotiate lease agreements and ensure compliance with leasing policies and regulations.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting property inspections and documenting property conditions.
• Address tenant concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive tenant relations.
• Collaborate with property maintenance and management teams to ensure properties are well-maintained and issues are promptly addressed.
• Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and occupancy rates to adjust leasing strategies and rental rates accordingly.
• Prepare leasing reports and financial forecasts for property owners.
• Stay updated on local rental market trends, legislation, and industry best practices to enhance leasing operations.

8 hour shift - Please note that this position may require a flexible schedule, including weekends, based on business and leasing demands. The company’s payroll workweek runs from Saturday through Friday, and management may adjust weekday schedules as needed to manage staffing and overtime requirements.
