RHP Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Blue Valley, Colonial Gardens, Riverchase communities in Manhattan, Kansas. The role involves general grounds maintenance and basic home repairs across 40 hours per week, with on-site duties and on-call availability.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid operator's license and good driving record required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute work orders and report status to Community Manager promptly.
• Interact politely with residents, visitors and staff.
• Identify deficiencies and take action with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain and manicured community grounds; weed control, landscaping and trimming.
• Remove garbage from grounds and resident sites; snow removal as applicable.
• Report equipment and supply needs; inventory maintenance items.
• Maintain garage and storage areas in good order.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Assist in refurbishing community-owned homes and repairs to water/sewer lines.
