Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, a Munich Re company, is hiring a Property Field Adjuster for Southern New Jersey. You will own claims from start to finish, perform on-site inspections, and develop damage estimates using Cotality while guiding policyholders through the process.

The role requires field mobility, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a dynamic team with CAT duty as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least a year or more of Property claims handling experience.
• Estimating experience with on-site inspections and damage assessment.
• Knowledge of dwelling/mobile home construction.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in the field, including climbing ladders (40+ lbs).
• Applicants must not require visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own property claims from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and determine coverage.
• Develop estimates using Cotality.
• Guide policyholders through the claims process with clear communication.

What You'll Do

• Own property claims from first notice of loss through resolution


• Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and determine coverage


• Develop estimates using Cotality


• Guide policyholders through the claims process with clear communication


• Partner with agents and internal teams to deliver strong outcomes


• Participation in catastrophe duty as needed. CAT duty can be throughout the United States and can last up to 4 weeks.

What You Bring

• At least a year or more of Property claims handling experience


• Estimating platform experience (Xactimate, Cotality, Symbility, etc.)


• Experience with property inspections and damage assessment


• Knowledge of dwelling/mobile home construction


• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record


• Ability to work in the field, including climbing ladders (40+ lbs)


• Applicants requiring employer sponsorship of a visa will not be considered for this position.

Location & Travel

Candidates must be located in or near Princeton, Tom's River, or Manchester Township or Lakehurst, New Jersey area and must have flexibility to complete CAT deployment as needed.

The salary range for this role in New Jersey is between $60,000 and $85,000 annually plus bonus and benefits mentioned above.
